yesterday i watched love's brother
not spectacular by any means, but still enjoyable. for an australian movie, it was decent. giovanni ribisi's performance was funny - why the accent? but i still like him. lately i've been watching some really goddamn depressing movies in class. now that i think about it, all of them were depressing except one. it's like the aim of the course is to teach you that all european movies are depressing.

but they are depressing in order to seem artful and superior. they have to stand apart from american glitz and glam.
